On the morning of 11 April 2026, JJ Sporting Fc welcomed Ujumaah to Three Rivers for a league home match kicking off at 9:00am. The hosts produced a stunning display of attacking football to run out comfortable 11-0 winners in a one-sided affair lasting the full 90 minutes plus injury time.

JJ Sporting lined up in a 3-4-3 formation that promised width and fluidity in attack alongside a solid defensive base. Kutloano Radiette took his place in goal behind a back three of Ali Letulo at right defender, Omphile Matla centrally, and Tlhompho Goeieman on the left. The midfield quartet featured Khanya Melapi on the right wing, Nhlakanipho Malefo and Bohlahle Moloi in central midfield roles, and Tsiamo Taunyane on the left. Up front, the attacking trio consisted of Refentse Pule on the right forward position, Alex Ndelu as the central striker, and Ncwalisa Gulunqu on the left forward flank. On the bench were Gabriel Texeira, Siphosethu Ziqubu, and Mbongeni Tsotsetsi.

The match began with JJ Sporting asserting early dominance. Refentse Pule tested the Ujumaah defence with a wide attempt in the 4th minute, followed shortly by a saved effort from Tsiamo Taunyane two minutes later. The breakthrough came in the 10th minute when Pule unleashed a right-footed strike from outside the box, expertly assisted by Malefo, to open the scoring.

JJ Sporting’s relentless pressure continued, and in the 17th minute Khanya Melapi doubled the lead with a left-footed effort from distance, set up by a precise pass from Gulunqu. Seven minutes later, Alex Ndelu added a close-range tap-in, capitalising on a cross from Melapi. Remarkably, Ujumaah then contributed an own goal also in the 24th minute, deflecting a long pass from Melapi into their own net, further extending the home side’s advantage.

The visitors were overwhelmed as Malefo struck a spectacular screamer from outside the box in the 34th minute, assisted by Gulunqu, showcasing his shooting prowess. Just before half-time, in the 44th minute, Gabriel Texeira found the net following a clever assist from Pule. This flurry of goals prompted a triple substitution for JJ Sporting at the same time: Mbongeni Tsotsetsi replaced Gulunqu, Siphosethu Ziqubu came on for Ndelu, and Texeira took over from Melapi in a tactical reshuffle.

Adding to the tally before the break, Pule scored again in the 44th minute with a thunderous right-footed strike, assisted by Ndelu, to complete a fine first-half display. The teams went into the interval with JJ Sporting leading 7-0.

The second half saw no let-up from the hosts. In the 56th minute, Melapi returned to the scoresheet with a close-range tap-in from a cross delivered by Ndelu. Pule continued his prolific form by netting another screamer from outside the box in the 69th minute, assisted once more by Malefo. Moments later, Melapi struck again, this time assisted by Tsotumo Taunyane, to further increase the margin.

Mbongeni Tsotsetsi also had a chance to add to the scoreline but saw his effort saved in the 69th minute. The final goal came in the 73rd minute when Taunyane completed a fine solo effort, curling a left-footed finish into the net.

JJ Sporting’s attacking trio of Pule, Melapi, and Ndelu were instrumental throughout, combining creativity, precision, and clinical finishing to dismantle Ujumaah’s defence. The midfielders Malefo and Gulunqu provided excellent service and control, while the back three and goalkeeper Radiette ensured a clean sheet with minimal threat from the visitors.

This emphatic 11-0 victory at Three Rivers not only boosts JJ Sporting’s goal difference but also sends a strong message to the league about their attacking capabilities and overall team cohesion.
