Nothing much to say apart from an absolute horror show of a performance. Everything that could go wrong did go wrong.
Hexham scored some excellent goals, however we contributed to our own downfall. Markers not being tracked, opposition players not being pressurised, surrendering of possession over and over again, aimless balls over the top/at Dan Walker’s face, no creativity, no defending as a unit… you name it, it happened!This is a result that has been coming for weeks, and against a quality opposition we were made to pay for our profligacy.
Only positives to take out of today:
- We are not playing well, but let’s not lose sight of the fact that we are a very good team.
- We had a lot of players missing and many of those starting are playing with injuries and not match fit.
- Tom Apedaile not putting a foot wrong when slotting into centre half after coming on.
- Everyone after the game disappointed and honest about the performance, and ready to put it right next week against Hearts.
