The Worthing & District Football League is an amateur football league based in Sussex, England. It was founded in 1903 and currently has 4 divisions. The Premier Division is at the 11th level of the English football pyramid.

History

The Worthing & District Football League was founded in 1903. The original members were:

  • Broadwater
  • Hove Albion
  • Worthing
  • Littlehampton
  • Rustington

The league has expanded several times over the years. In 1972, it merged with the Arundel & District Football League. In 1990, it merged with the West Sussex Football League.

Current Structure

The Worthing & District Football League currently has 4 divisions:

  • Premier Division
  • Division One
  • Division Two
  • Division Three

The Premier Division is at the 11th level of the English football pyramid. The top 2 teams in the Premier Division are promoted to the Sussex County League Division One. The bottom 2 teams in the Premier Division are relegated to Division One.

The winners of the League Cup are promoted to the Premier Division. The runners-up in the League Cup are eligible for promotion if they finish in the top 3 of Division One.
