Worthing & District Football League

The Worthing & District Football League is an amateur football league based in Sussex, England. It was founded in 1921 and currently has four divisions: Premier Division, Division One, Division Two, and Division Three.

The league is affiliated to the Sussex County Football Association and is at the 11th level of the English football pyramid. The champions of the Premier Division are promoted to the Sussex County League Division One, while the bottom two teams in each division are relegated.

History

The Worthing & District Football League was founded in 1921 by a group of local football enthusiasts. The first season of the league consisted of 10 teams, and the champions were Broadwater United.

The league has expanded over the years and now has over 100 teams. The Premier Division is the most competitive division, and the champions are usually promoted to the Sussex County League Division One.

Current Season

The 2023-2024 season is currently underway. The Premier Division is being led by AFC Broadwater, while Division One is being led by Preston Park.
