About Southern Amateur Football League
London amateur football since 1907
The Southern Amateur Football League is a long-established Saturday competition for amateur clubs in and around London. Founded in 1907, it has retained a substantial historical record, with its official archive covering seasons from its formation onwards.

The league is built around adult amateur football and includes senior, north, south and veterans football, alongside cup competitions. This mix means clubs can enter more than one part of the competition, while players can follow both league and cup football through the season.
A long-running representative tradition
The Southern Amateur League has fielded a representative team since its first season. The side plays other leagues, universities and member clubs for special occasions, and has competed in the FA Inter-League Cup; it won the competition at its first attempt in 2008.
