Tenisons III travelled to Richardson Evans, Roehampton Vale, to face Wandsworth Borough 3rd in a league away fixture on 11 April 2026, kicking off at 1:00pm. The match ended in a 3-2 defeat for Tenisons III after a closely contested 90 minutes plus added time.

Deploying a 4-2-3-1 formation, Tenisons III lined up with Mike C guarding the goal. The back four consisted of George Toner at right back, George Woodger and Jeremy Barton as central defenders, and Sean Smith on the left. In midfield, Liam Mepham and Jack Turner held the central midfield roles, tasked with both defensive duties and linking play. Ahead of them, the attacking midfield trio featured Sahr Gbembo on the right, Luke Hinds centrally as the attacking midfielder, and Matthew Sunday on the left, supporting lone striker Melvin Osadolor. The formation was designed to provide defensive solidity with two holding midfielders while allowing creative freedom for the attacking midfielders to supply the striker. The substitutes named were Troy Neenan, Marcus Edwards, and Sean McCoy.

The match began with Tenisons III showing intent, and it was Jeremy Barton who opened the scoring in the 23rd minute. The central defender capitalised on a well-delivered assist from Luke Hinds, heading home to give the visitors an early lead. However, Wandsworth Borough 3rd responded before half-time, levelling the score in the 37th minute to set up a tense remainder of the first half.

Shortly before the break, Tenisons III made their first change with Troy Neenan replacing right back George Toner in the 42nd minute, perhaps looking to inject fresh legs into the defensive line. The half concluded with the sides level at 1-1.

Early in the second half, Tenisons III adjusted their attacking options by bringing on Marcus Edwards for left attacking midfielder Matthew Sunday in the 52nd minute. This change appeared to pay dividends as Melvin Osadolor restored Tenisons III’s lead in the 58th minute, finishing off a move set up by right attacking midfielder Sahr Gbembo. The striker’s goal was a crucial moment, giving Tenisons III a 2-1 advantage.

The game continued to ebb and flow, with another substitution in the 65th minute seeing Sean McCoy replace central attacking midfielder Luke Hinds. Despite this, Wandsworth Borough 3rd found an equaliser in the 75th minute, cancelling out Tenisons III’s lead once again.

Tenisons III responded with a double substitution in the 78th minute, reintroducing Luke Hinds for Jack Turner in central midfield and bringing back Matthew Sunday on the left wing for Marcus Edwards. These changes aimed to bolster creativity and regain control in the midfield and attacking areas.

Unfortunately for Tenisons III, Wandsworth Borough 3rd struck twice more late on, scoring in the 84th minute to take the lead for the first time in the match. The visitors were unable to find a response in the remaining minutes, and the match concluded 3-2 in favour of the home side.

Tenisons III showed resilience and attacking intent throughout but ultimately fell short against a determined Wandsworth Borough 3rd side at Richardson Evans.
