About Essex County Girls League
Essex County Girls League
The Essex County Girls League (ECGL) is an amateur football league for girls in Essex, England. It was founded in 1993 and currently has over 100 teams competing in a variety of age groups, from Under-8s to Under-18s.
The ECGL is affiliated to the Football Association (FA) and its teams compete in the FA Girls' Leagues. The league is divided into a number of divisions, with promotion and relegation between divisions based on results.
The ECGL also runs a number of cup competitions, including the Essex County Cup and the Essex County Challenge Cup. The league's headquarters are located at the County Ground in Chelmsford.
