About Essex County Girls League
Read more →The Essex County Girls League (ECGL) is an amateur football league for girls in Essex, England. It was founded in 1993 and currently has over 100 teams competing in a variety of age groups, from Under-8s to Under-18s.
The ECGL is affiliated to the Football Association (FA) and its teams compete in the FA Girls' Leagues. The league is divided into a number of divisions, with promotion and relegation between divisions based on results.
The ECGL also runs a number of cup competitions, including the Essex County Cup and the Essex County Challenge Cup. The league's headquarters are located at the County Ground in Chelmsford.
