The Durham & District Sunday Football League is an amateur football league in County Durham, England. It was founded in 1921 and is currently the largest Sunday league in the county, with over 100 teams competing in various divisions.
The league was founded in 1921 by two local football clubs, Swinburne College and Maddison Road. The league's first season consisted of just four teams, but it has since grown to become the largest Sunday league in County Durham.
The league has been home to some of the best amateur footballers in the region over the years, including former professional players such as Paul Gascoigne and Gary Speed.
The league is divided into three divisions: the Premier Division, Division One, and Division Two. The Premier Division is the top flight of the league and is contested by the best teams in the county.
The league also has a cup competition, the Durham & District Sunday Football League Cup. The cup is open to all teams in the league and is played over a knockout format.
The current season is the 93rd season of the Durham & District Sunday Football League. The Premier Division is currently being led by Sacriston WMC FC, while the Division One leaders are Newton Aycliffe Iron Horse FC.
