Read more →The Durham & District Sunday Football League is an amateur football league in County Durham, England. It was founded in 1921 and is currently the largest Sunday league in the county, with over 100 teams competing in various divisions.
The league was founded in 1921 by two local football clubs, Swinburne College and Maddison Road. The league's first season consisted of just four teams, but it has since grown to become the largest Sunday league in County Durham.
The league has been home to some of the best amateur footballers in the region over the years, including former professional players such as Paul Gascoigne and Gary Speed.
