Tilehurst YM won 4-0 against Arbofield in the massive game at the bottom of the Reading Sunday League Premier Division. The victory should secure Premier Division Football for YM next season!
TYM started the game well with some good link up play involving a number of attacking players and the pressure paid off as a Dan Offley cross from the right was brilliantly headed in by Michael Buck. Another cross from the right led to YM's and Buck's second goal. A deep cross from Adam Byrne found Buck at the back post whose left foot volley hit the post and went in.
TYM the extended their lead with two headed goals, both from Joe Lodge! First from a corner and the second from a free kick. YM continued to push forward but the score remained 4-0 at half time to YM.
Into the 2nd half Arbofield started to created abit of pressure on the YM defence but they stood firm to earn a well-earned clean sheet.
YM now are waiting on confirmation on whether they will stay up.....!!
