Green Hill 5 vs 3 tara 2nds fc

The team had a shaky start conceeding a goal early on from a poorly defended outswinging corner.

Then minutes later the teram had a man sent of for shoving another player, and then followed a ten minute debacle filled with handbags and resulted in one of the opposition players also being sent off, however unfortunately this player was not on the pitch, so the advantage stayed with the home team, Tara down to ten men.

This did not stop Tara having levelled only to have the goal ruled out for off side, and right on the stroke of half time they levelled the score 1 - 1, a through ball saw stanny latch on to it and slide it passed the keeper.

The second half of the game saw more disruptions to the play, Green hill went ahead 2-1.

Up stepped stanny again and hit a tremendouse curling shot into the far corner, 2 -2.

Then to top off a great performance the man stepped up again with a shot resembling his last goal saw Tara take the lead 3-2.

Then Tara scored again, however the referee saw fit to disallow the goal even the the defender was tangled in his own net some 6 yards behind the goal line!!!

Tired legs saw the side hold on to the lead for ten minutes, then green hill equalised 3-3.

They went on to score twice more winning the game 5-3, with the most dubiouse penaly I have ever seen.

A fantastic effor by the ten men of Tara, in what turned out to be a very strange game of football, which they could have won.
