Win, win, win lakes eventually gets there first win of the season and what a day for it to happen. An outstanding performance by all. Luke picking up the man of the match again and nathan getting the donkey for an own goal.
Lakes started the strongest and found themselves going 1-0 up when a clearance from lee addison at the back found lee thomas in space for him to slot it away. Lakes managed to keep on the pressure for some time and found a second when a header came long from the back for the defender to not notice the bounce, pouncing on the loose ball, lee thomas rounded the keeper and slotted it away.
Lakes kep going but found themselves going down by a goal when a miss communication by aaron and dan meant that the ball dropped to the right winger who smashed it into the net.
Lakes dropped a 2nd when a comical 2 minutes appeared. A long ball found nathan campbell with a loan striker which to be honest, the ref did say if they never scored, it would have been a penalty and nathan would have been off, anyway not taking this away from nath, he managed to trip over the grass, smash it against the post and put it away. Good on ya nathan.
2-2 and lakes now wondering where they were going to get a 3rd when a free kick was awarded, normally aaron would smash it but nick stole it away. Good job cause what a wonder goal.
Half time
The next 45 was a bit of a blur, with lakes having 12 shots on and off the target and the opposition having approx 6 only for lakes to hold off the pressure of the incoming strikers.
Win for the home team and what a day to get it.
Let's hope we can carry it on.
