Kirkham Juniors 1 vs 1 YMCA

Kirkham win the toss and change ends, Kirkham make a good start and are passing the ball around nicely but concede a free kick and Ymca capitalise on the only chance they have had in the opening few minutes and make it 0 - 1, Kirkham react quickly though and pull one back with a great bit of give and go to make it all equal 1 - 1 Taylor with the goal, Ymca react this time and are getting the lions share of posession and make it 1 - 2 from another set piece fired into the box, the first half continues in much the same way and Kirkham 2nd to everything and not competing, Kirkham equalise but the linesman's flagged for offside, Kirkham see out the half and starting to play a bit better in areas once they start passing the ball around and playing football,

2nd Half

Kirkham start the 2nd half a lot better with a change in formation and have opted for a 4 - 3 -3 and it seems to be working really well and are starting to see more of the ball and competing for it, this is soon paid off with the equiliser with a very cool finish from Cameron Green to make it 2 - 2 Kirkham go on to dominate the 2nd half and do get the ball in the net for a 4th time but in the absence of goal line technology the lads screams for goal and that's in comes to nothing and the ref points for a goal kick ?

In Summary:

Some really good football tonight and we got undone by a couple of set pieces and a goal that wasn't that should have been, if we had competed in the first half like we did in the second then we probably would have come away with a win but a draw is a fair reflection of a game that was a game of 2 halves.
