On a small pitch where nether team could play real football and throws were reaching the other side of the area it was a relief to come away with a victory. Panthers fluid pass and move game was replaced by pinball as nearly every clearance hit several players rarely ending up were it was intended to go.

Panthers hit the woodwork with a Edwin Murahwa shot, had a Jobe Wolfe goal from a free kick disallowed in the first 15 minutes. Southdown had he play on the left side but failed to deliver a decent ball into the Panthers area.

Sub Adam Cheschin came on to shore up a leaky midfield alongside Jean Moutein and striker Jermaine Beer and for the first 20 minutes or so of the restart began to take control and finally took the lead when Wolfe passed the ball to Jordan L'etendrine who forced his way through the visitors defence to slot the ball home past the oncoming keeper.

Southdown fought back and piled pressure onto the defence. MOM Sam Trulove along with brother Jake, Will Bateup, Brendan Milborrow and Ben Rogers kept battling for every ball failing just twice with Sam clearing the ball off the line and keeper Robbie Legg pulling of a spectacular point blank save.
