Eastern Stars were cruising at 3-0 up at half-time thanks to goals from Ji Hyun (2) and Park Yeung.

However, Channel Four scored twice in five second-half minutes through Geordie Pie and Leroy but Stars captain Hi-Seung Won struck early in the second half to bring any potential comeback for the hosts' to a halt.

Stars' Won was influential from the outset, forcing Matthews to intercept his cross from a Ji-Hai free-kick from the right. Ji Hyun's' 20-yard shot was also repelled by the keeper.

Leroy stroked wide for the hosts in their first real attack of note and they almost went ahead midway through the first half, but Ganello  saw his powerful shot tipped over the post by Stars 'keeper.

However, Stars were ahead five minutes later. Park was fouled by Amrio with Hyun firing the resulting pass from the free-kick into the top left-hand corner from 8 yards, with News Teams 'keeper diving to no avail.

Amrio then recieved a soft yellow card for a block on Easterns captain, although this was most likely for persistent fouling.

Yeung shot over in their next foray forward but Channel Four had a great chance to draw level, only for Lumley to tip his awkward attempt over from inside the eight-yard box.

They were made to pay for that failure when Yeung gave Stars a 2-0 lead when he drilled the ball into the centre of the goal from 8 yards, 15 minutes into the game, after a superb solo run to the right edge of the box, driving low and hard.

Skoota then let his frustration get the better of him, and as Easterns winger pulled away for a one-two, Skoota lashed out, swiping for his ankles, and was in no doubt that he was lucky not see red.

And just four minutes later the game appeared all but over when the visitors got a third, Ji Hyun firing home a fine 12-yard shot into the bottom right-hand corner.

Ganello  mishit a shot when well placed in the eight-yard box as Channel Four looked to make a dent in the scoreline.

However, rather than Mallorca going on to to bring the score to 2-1, the next goal came from Eastern, with just three minuted gone in the second half.

Woo-Chow laid the ball off to Hi-Seung Won who drilled a fierce shot high into the top left-hand corner.

Strangely, the goal kick-started Channel Four, and it was Eastern who deflated, clearly feeling the fatigue from the high pressure, quick tempo game.

As Channel Four rallied bravely, they had two goals in five minutes, albeit in the last quarter of the game, which saw the hosts force their way back into the game.

First of all Rogers slammed the ball high into the centre of the goal from Easterns 'keeper clumsy parry, as the ball fell lightly for Geordie Pie from a Skoota distanced shot, to strike home fiercely.

Just four minutes later News Team cut the deficit to two, with Leroy smashing home a sharp, short cut-back from Skoota down the right of the 2-yard box, following swift counterattack.

Astonishingly, Channel Four almost got a third, as Skoota and Leroy fought bravely down the left flank, and as Skoota drove to the edge of the box, from the left, Leroy calmly took the ball of his toes before stroking a smart, straight pass to the near-post for the on rushing Amrio. To his own dismay, let alone his teammates, Amrio flicked the ball over with the outside of his right foot, from point-blank range.

Although manager Lewis Gyde will be dissapointed with his sides lack of structure and attacking discipline in the first half, Channel Four's late rally will convince him of his teams consistent quality and undoubtable potential, when focused on the task at hand.
