MATCH REPORT –

An emphatic 5 goal victory kept up our 100% start to the season. A very closely contested 1st half saw both teams cancel each other out with few chances, after 8 minutes Callum found Ben who coolly slotted home to send us into half time break in the lead. The second half we upped our game and the passing, confidence and patience we displayed was nothing short of fantastic, a through ball from Cameron to Callum finished off a fine move on 27 minutes to make it 2. Callum turned provider on 29 minutes to find Kai to open his account for the season. CFC continued to play their style of football and although the Hornets dug in deep and defended very well at times it seemed we would not be able to add another goal. Tyler worked hard all game and was denied a few times as was Ben and Cameron. It was Kais second, a left foot strike on the turn that made it 4. Cameron with his outstanding display at the back along with Freddie, was the one who provided the ball for Callum to slot home his second and CFC’s 5th. Once again Finn did all that was asked of him and kept his 2nd clean sheet of the season however it was a display from Lewis in midfield today that stole the show to make him man of the match. Credit to the Hornets they never gave up and Martin gets them to do the right thing, they will come good as they did last season and we wish them well for the remainder.

All the hard work we are doing in training is now starting to develop in our matches, myself and Lee will continue with our philosophy and this will progress further in the weeks to come. Well played boys a truly fantastic performance today.
