About Youth League

Introduction

The Youth League is an amateur football league that is managed, organised and controlled by the All India Football Federation. It consists of 3 age groups competitions: U17 (Elite Youth League), U15 (Junior League) and U13 (Sub-Junior League).

History

The Youth League was first introduced in the 2012-13 season. The inaugural season of the U17 Elite Youth League was won by the Mohun Bagan Youth Team.

Format

The Youth League is played in a round-robin format, with each team playing each other team once. The top two teams in each age group qualify for the knockout semifinals. The winners of the semifinals then play in the final to decide the champions.

Venues

The Youth League matches are played at various venues across India. The venues are selected by the All India Football Federation.
