The Woolwich & Eltham District Football League is an amateur football league in south-east London, England. It was founded in 1906 and currently has 40 clubs competing in its various divisions. The league is affiliated to the Surrey County Football Association and is a member of the London FA.

History

The Woolwich & Eltham District Football League was founded in 1906. The original clubs were:

  • Avery Hill Athletic
  • Bexleyheath United
  • Blackheath & District
  • Chatham Town
  • Eltham Town
  • Plumstead
  • Sydenham
  • Welling United
The league has expanded over the years and now has 40 clubs competing in its various divisions. The top division is the Premier Division, followed by the First Division, Second Division, and Third Division. There are also several cup competitions, including the Challenge Cup, the League Cup, and the Floodlit Cup.

Current Season

The current season is the 2022-2023 season. The Premier Division is currently being led by Avery Hill Athletic, followed by Bexleyheath United and Blackheath & District. The First Division is being led by Chatham Town, followed by Eltham Town and Plumstead. The Second Division is being led by Sydenham, followed by Welling United and Greenwich Borough.
