Read more →The West Riding County Amateur Football League was a football competition based in Yorkshire, England. It was formed in 1922 and had one division when it closed in 2019 due to a lack of participating clubs. The Premier Division sat at level 11 of the English football league system.
The West Riding County Amateur Football League was founded in 1922. The inaugural season featured 33 clubs, and the first champions were Salts. The league has been won by a total of 39 clubs, with Golcar United being the most successful team, having won the title 10 times.
The league was originally divided into two divisions, but this was reduced to one division in 1996. The league has also had a number of cup competitions, including the Premier Division Cup, the Division One Cup, and the Challenge Cup.
