About Wessex Football League
Non-league football in the south
The Wessex Football League is an FA Accredited men’s competition at Steps 5 and 6 of the National League System. It serves clubs across Berkshire, Dorset, Hampshire, the Isle of Wight, Somerset, Surrey and Wiltshire, placing it among the principal regional leagues in southern England.

The current structure has a Premier Division and Division One. These divisions provide the league’s regular competition programme, with club allocations reviewed between seasons in line with the National League System.
Clubs and competitions
Member clubs range from town, village and community clubs to sides connected with larger local football organisations. The league’s geography includes mainland clubs and Isle of Wight teams, for which the competition publishes travel information.
Alongside league fixtures, Wessex League clubs take part in the Velocity Wessex League Cup and in wider FA and county competitions, including the FA Cup and FA Vase where eligible. Current fixtures, results, tables and club allocations are available through the official league channels.
