Urban Legend

The Urban Legend is an amateur football league that was founded in Harlem, New York City in the early 1960s. The league was created to provide a safe and positive outlet for young men in the community.

The Urban Legend is still active today and continues to play an important role in the lives of many young people in Harlem.

The Urban Legend was founded by Charles Johnson, a civil rights activist and the executive director of the Urban League of Greater New York. Johnson wanted to create a league that would provide young men in Harlem with an opportunity to play football and stay out of trouble.
