About Strooien Hane

Strooien Hane

Strooien Hane is an amateur football league based in the Netherlands. It was founded in 1972 and currently has over 100 teams playing in various divisions.

The league is named after the Strooien Hane, a traditional Dutch hat made of straw. The hat is a symbol of the region's rural heritage and is often worn by players and spectators at Strooien Hane matches.

History

Strooien Hane was founded in 1972 by a group of friends who wanted to create a football league for amateur players. The league quickly grew in popularity and now has over 100 teams playing in various divisions.

The league has been home to some talented players over the years, including former professional footballers such as Pierre van Hooijdonk and Patrick Kluivert.

Divisions

Strooien Hane has a total of 10 divisions, ranging from the top division (Hoofdklasse) to the lowest division (Eerste Klasse). The top division is divided into two groups, A and B.

The teams in each division play each other twice, once at home and once away. The top teams in each division at the end of the season are promoted to the next division, while the bottom teams are relegated to the next lower division.
