SKCL - The Amateur Football League

SKCL, or Stockholms Kortedjarklubbar Liga, is an amateur football league in Stockholm, Sweden. It was founded in 1977 and currently has over 100 teams competing in various divisions.

The league is divided into two main divisions, Division 1 and Division 2. Division 1 is the top division, while Division 2 is the second tier. There are also a number of lower divisions, as well as cup competitions.

History

SKCL was founded in 1977 by a group of amateur footballers who wanted to create a league that was more accessible and affordable than the traditional Swedish football leagues. The league quickly grew in popularity, and today it is one of the largest amateur football leagues in Sweden.

In 2017, SKCL celebrated its 40th anniversary. The league held a number of events to mark the occasion, including a gala dinner and a football tournament.

  • All teams must have a minimum of 11 players.
  • Matches must be played on a full-size football pitch.
  • The maximum number of substitutions per match is three.

The rules of SKCL are available on the league's website.
