The league was founded in 1921 by a group of local football enthusiasts. The first season saw 10 teams compete, and the league has grown steadily ever since. Today, the league has 46 teams competing in three divisions.
The league is divided into three divisions: Premier Division, Division 1, and Division 2. The top two teams in each division are promoted at the end of the season, while the bottom two teams are relegated.
