Read more →Serie 2 is the second tier of the Dutch football league system, below the Eerste Divisie and above the Tweede Divisie. It is a nationwide league consisting of 20 teams.
The league was founded in 1956 as the Tweede Klasse, and was renamed to Serie 2 in 1971. The current champions are FC Volendam.
The top two teams in Serie 2 are promoted to the Eerste Divisie, while the bottom two teams are relegated to the Tweede Divisie.
