Sandon Soccer Ltd was founded in 1972 by a group of local football enthusiasts. The league started with just four teams, but it has grown steadily over the years and now has 10 teams competing in two divisions.

The league has a long and proud history, and it has produced some talented players over the years. In 1987, one of the league's teams, Sandon United, won the Kent Amateur Football League Cup.
