Read more →The SAL was founded in 1907 and currently has 20 divisions, ranging from the top-flight Senior Division 1 to the bottom-tier Minor Division 1. The league has a total of over 200 clubs and around 4,000 players.
The SAL is a competitive league and has produced a number of professional footballers, including former England internationals David Rocastle and Paul Ince.
