The South Australian Community Football League (SACFL) is an Australian local football club that operates with authority from the South Australian National Football League (SANFL) granted by license to provide help and finance for associated clubs and leagues to ensure that the sport is played with every rule being followed.
The SACFL was founded in 1997 and currently has over 200 clubs and 20,000 registered players. It is the largest amateur football league in South Australia.
The SACFL operates a number of different leagues, including the South Australian Amateur Football League (SAAFL), the South Australian Women's Football League (SANFLW), and the South Australian Junior Football League (SAJFL).
The SAAFL is the premier men's competition in the SACFL. It is divided into four divisions: Division 1, Division 2, Division 3, and Division 4.
The SANFLW is the premier women's competition in the SACFL. It is divided into two divisions: Division 1 and Division 2.
The SAJFL is the premier junior competition in the SACFL. It is divided into six age groups: Under 12, Under 13, Under 14, Under 15, Under 16, Under 17, and Under 18.
The SACFL was founded in 1997 as a merger of the South Australian Amateur Football League (SAAFL) and the South Australian Country Football League (SACFL).
The SAAFL was founded in 1877 and was the oldest amateur football league in South Australia. The SACFL was founded in 1963 and was the second oldest amateur football league in South Australia.
The merger of the two leagues created the largest amateur football league in South Australia.
