Read more →The Rotherham & District Sunday League is an amateur football league based in Rotherham, South Yorkshire, England. It was founded in 1921 and currently has over 100 clubs competing in 10 divisions.
The Rotherham & District Sunday League was founded in 1921 by a group of local football enthusiasts. The first season consisted of just 12 teams, but the league has since grown to become one of the largest and most successful Sunday leagues in the country.
The league has been won by a number of well-known clubs, including Rotherham United, Sheffield United, and Barnsley. In recent years, the league has also been won by a number of smaller clubs, which shows that it is open to teams of all abilities.
