Rochester & District League

The Rochester & District League is an amateur football league based in Kent, England. It was founded in 1906 and currently has 12 teams competing in its Premier Division.

History

The league was founded in 1906 by a group of local football clubs. The original teams were:

• Chatham Town
• Gillingham
• Rochester United
• Strood United
• Upton Park

The league has grown steadily over the years and now has teams from all over the Rochester area. The Premier Division is the top flight of the league, followed by Division One, Division Two, and Division Three.

Season structure

The league season runs from September to May, with each team playing each other twice. The top two teams at the end of the season are promoted to the Kent League, while the bottom two teams are relegated to Division One.

The league also has a cup competition, the Rochester & District League Cup. The cup is open to all teams in the league and is played in a knockout format.
