The Norwich Sunday League is an amateur football league based in Norwich, England. It is affiliated to the Norfolk County Football Association.

The league was founded in 1921 and currently has over 100 teams competing in 10 divisions. The top division is the Premier Division, followed by Division 1, Division 2, and so on.

The league season runs from September to May, with each team playing each other once. The top two teams in each division are promoted to the next division, while the bottom two teams are relegated to the next lower division.

History

The Norwich Sunday League was founded in 1921 by a group of local football enthusiasts. The first season saw 12 teams compete, and the league has grown steadily ever since.

The league has seen many changes over the years, but it has always remained committed to providing a competitive and enjoyable football experience for its players.

In recent years, the league has introduced a number of new initiatives, such as a Fair Play Award and a Disability Football League.

Current Season

The 2023/24 season is currently underway. The Premier Division is being led by Acle Rangers, while Division 1 is being led by Easton Sundays.

The league has also introduced a new cup competition this season, the Norwich Sunday League Cup. The cup is being contested by all teams in the league, and the final will be played in May 2024.
