North East Hants Youth League

The North East Hants Youth League (NEHYL) is a Charter Standard Football League sanctioned by Hampshire FA, supporting youth football teams from clubs in Hampshire, Berks & Bucks and Surrey.

The league was founded in 1972 and currently has over 200 teams playing in a variety of age groups, from Under-7s to Under-18s.

The NEHYL is committed to providing a safe and enjoyable environment for all players, and supports the Respect programme.

League Structure

The NEHYL is divided into a number of divisions, based on age and ability.

  • Under-7s: Development League
  • Under-8s: Development League
  • Under-9s: Development League
  • Under-10s: Development League
  • Under-11s: Development League
  • Under-12s: Division 1, Division 2
  • Under-13s: Division 1, Division 2
  • Under-14s: Division 1, Division 2
  • Under-15s: Division 1, Division 2
  • Under-16s: Division 1, Division 2
  • Under-17s: Division 1, Division 2
  • Under-18s: Premier Division, Division 1, Division 2

The top teams in each division are promoted to the next division, while the bottom teams are relegated.
