About North East Football League
Read more →The North East Football League (NEFL) is an amateur football league in the North East of Ireland. It was founded in 1980 and currently has 32 clubs competing in three divisions.
The NEFL was founded in 1980 by a group of local football enthusiasts. The inaugural season consisted of 12 clubs competing in a single division. The league has since expanded to 32 clubs competing in three divisions.
The NEFL has produced a number of professional footballers, including Michael O'Neill, who played for Northern Ireland and managed the national team.
