NFF Div 2

The NFF Div 2 is the third tier of the Norwegian football league system. It is administered by the Norwegian Football Federation (NFF).

History

The NFF Div 2 was first introduced in 1990, when the Norwegian football league system was reorganized. The league was originally divided into two groups, but this was increased to three groups in 2001.

Current season

The current season of the NFF Div 2 is the 2023 season. The league is divided into three groups, each of which consists of 14 teams. The teams play each other twice, once at home and once away. The top team in each group at the end of the season is promoted to the 1. divisjon, while the bottom two teams in each group are relegated to the 3. divisjon.
