About Next Generation Super League
Read more →The Next Generation Super League (NGSL) is an amateur football league for players aged 16-21. It was founded in 2017 by a group of former professional footballers who wanted to create a more competitive and challenging environment for young players.
The NGSL consists of 16 teams, divided into two divisions. The top division is called the Premier League, and the bottom division is called the Championship. The teams play each other twice, once home and once away.
The season runs from September to May, and the top two teams in the Premier League are promoted to the Professional Development League 2, while the bottom two teams in the Premier League are relegated to the Championship.
