About Masters League

What is the Masters League?

The Masters League is an amateur football league for players over the age of 35. It was founded in 1987 in the United Kingdom and has since expanded to over 20 countries. The league is divided into regional divisions, with each division having its own season and playoffs.

The Masters League is a competitive league, but it is also a social league. Players come from all walks of life and enjoy the opportunity to continue playing football after they have retired from professional football.

The Masters League is also a charitable organization. It raises money for a variety of charities, including the Alzheimer's Society and the British Heart Foundation.

How to join the Masters League

Rules of the Masters League

  • The game is played on a full-size football pitch.
  • There are two 45-minute halves.
  • Each team can have up to 11 players on the field at a time.
  • Substitutions are unlimited.
  • The offside rule applies.
