About Manchester Accountant's Football League
Introduction
The Manchester Accountant's Football League (MAFL) is an amateur football league for accountants in the Manchester area. It was founded in 1972 and currently has 12 teams. The league plays its matches on Sunday mornings during the autumn and winter months.The MAFL is a competitive league, but it is also a social league where accountants can get together to play football and enjoy each other's company. The league has a good reputation for being well-run and organized.

History
The MAFL was founded in 1972 by a group of accountants who wanted to play football together. The league started with just four teams, but it has grown steadily over the years. The MAFL currently has 12 teams, and it is one of the largest amateur football leagues in the Manchester area.The MAFL has a long history of producing talented footballers. Several former MAFL players have gone on to play professional football, including Gary Neville, Phil Neville, and Nicky Butt.
Current Season
The current season of the MAFL started in September 2023. The league is divided into two divisions, the Premier Division and the First Division. The top four teams in the Premier Division at the end of the season will qualify for the playoffs, with the winner being crowned champions.The current leaders of the Premier Division are Brooklands Napoli, who have won all of their matches so far. The defending champions, Libero Casuals, are currently in second place.
