Malaysia Legend Cup

The Malaysia Legend Cup is an amateur football league in Malaysia that was founded in 2022. The league is open to former professional footballers and national team players.

History

The Malaysia Legend Cup was founded by Skydream, a Malaysian esports company, in collaboration with the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM). The league was launched in March 2022 with the aim of promoting football among former footballers and national team players.

The inaugural season of the Malaysia Legend Cup was won by the Selangor Legends, who defeated the Johor Darul Ta'zim Legends in the final.

Format

The Malaysia Legend Cup is a single-elimination tournament. The teams are divided into groups, and the top teams from each group advance to the knockout stage.

The final is played at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium in Kuala Lumpur.

Current season

The 2023 season of the Malaysia Legend Cup is currently underway. The top teams from the group stage are:

The quarterfinals will be played on September 10, 2023. The semifinals will be played on September 17, 2023. The final will be played on September 24, 2023.
