It is the highest division in the London Football Saturday Am League, and is currently contested by 16 teams. The league was founded in 1972, and has been won by a variety of clubs over the years, including Hendon, Tooting & Mitcham United, and FC Romania.

The current season is still ongoing, and the top four teams at the end of the season will qualify for the promotion playoffs. The bottom two teams will be relegated to the London Football Saturday Am Division One.
