Liga Garcia is an amateur football league in Spain. It was founded in 1975 and is named after the founder, Garcia Sanz. The league is open to teams of all levels, from beginners to experienced players. There are currently over 100 teams in the league, playing in a variety of divisions.
The league is divided into two seasons, a winter season and a summer season. The winter season runs from September to December, and the summer season runs from January to May. Each season, teams play each other once, home and away. The top teams in each division at the end of the season qualify for the playoffs. The winners of the playoffs are crowned champions of Liga Garcia.
Liga Garcia was founded in 1975 by Garcia Sanz, a local businessman. Sanz was passionate about football and wanted to create a league that would be accessible to players of all levels. The league quickly grew in popularity, and today it is one of the most popular amateur football leagues in Spain.
In 2010, Liga Garcia was affiliated with the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF). This affiliation gave the league more credibility and helped to attract new teams. The league has continued to grow in recent years, and it now has over 100 teams.
The rules of Liga Garcia are based on the rules of the RFEF. However, there are some minor modifications to the rules to make the league more suitable for amateur players. For example, there is no offside rule in Liga Garcia.
The games are played on a standard football pitch. The goals are 7 meters wide and 2 meters high. The games are 90 minutes long, with two 45-minute halves. There is a short break at halftime.
The teams are allowed to make up to three substitutions per game. There is no limit on the number of substitutes that can be made during halftime.
