2017/18 - 1 Teams across 1 Divisions
Liga 3 is the third level of the Romanian football league system. It was founded in 1936 and was called Divizia C until 2006. An exception was the seasons 1992–93 to 1996–97, in which the league was called Divizia B.
The league is divided into four groups: North, South, East, and West. Each group has 16 teams, for a total of 64 teams in the league. The teams play each other twice, once at home and once away. The top two teams in each group at the end of the season are promoted to Liga 2, while the bottom two teams in each group are relegated to Liga 4.
