Liga 123

Introduction

Liga 123 is an amateur football league in Malaysia. It is the third tier of the Malaysian football league system, below the Malaysia Premier League and the Malaysia Super League.

The league was founded in 2018 as the Liga FAM, but was renamed to Liga 123 in 2020. The current champions are Kelantan United.

Format

The Liga 123 consists of 16 teams. The teams are divided into two groups of eight, with each team playing each other team in their group twice, home and away.

The top two teams from each group qualify for the play-offs, with the winner of the play-offs being promoted to the Malaysia Premier League.
