History

The Leek And District Sunday League was founded in 1920 by a group of local footballers. The first season consisted of just 8 teams, but the league has grown steadily over the years and now has 20 teams.

The league has been won by a number of different teams over the years, but the most successful team is Buxton Stags, who have won the title 12 times.
