Read more →League 3 is an amateur football league in England. It is the fourth tier of the English football league system, below League 2, League One, and the Premier League.
League 3 was formed in 2004 as a result of a merger between the Football Conference and the Football League Third Division. It currently consists of 24 clubs, divided into two divisions of 12 teams each.
The top four teams in each division at the end of the season are promoted to League 2, while the bottom four teams in each division are relegated to the National League.
