Intermediate 2 Football League
The Intermediate 2 football league is a regional football league in England. It is the second tier of the National League System, below the National League North and National League South, and above the Northern Premier League Premier Division and Southern League Premier Division.
The league was formed in 2004 as a merger of the Isthmian League Premier Division and the Northern Premier League First Division. It currently consists of 22 clubs, divided into two divisions of 11. The champions of each division are promoted to the National League North or National League South, while the bottom two clubs in each division are relegated to the Northern Premier League Premier Division or Southern League Premier Division.
