The Hermoso League was founded in 1972 by a group of local residents who wanted to create a competitive football league for adults. The league started with just a few teams, but it has grown steadily over the years. Today, the Hermoso League has over 100 teams competing in various divisions.
The Hermoso League is a member of the United States Adult Soccer Association (USASA). The USASA is the national governing body for amateur soccer in the United States. The Hermoso League is also affiliated with the Southern California Adult Soccer Association (SCASA). The SCASA is the regional governing body for amateur soccer in Southern California.
