Fonacab Development League

The Fonacab Development League is an amateur football league in Belfast, Northern Ireland. It was founded in 2019 and is sponsored by fonaCAB, a local taxi company.

The league currently has 12 teams, all of which are based in Belfast. The teams are divided into two divisions, the Premier Division and the First Division. The season runs from September to May, with each team playing each other twice.

League rules

  • The league is played under the rules of the Irish Football Association.
  • Each team must field a team of 11 players, with a maximum of 5 substitutes.
  • The match duration is 90 minutes, with two halves of 45 minutes each.
  • A draw after 90 minutes will be decided by a penalty shootout.
