Essex Walking Football League

The league was founded in 2017 and currently has over 30 clubs and 400 players. The league is divided into three divisions: Over 50s, Over 60s, and Over 65s.

Walking football is a modified version of football that is designed for people of all ages and abilities. The game is played with a smaller ball and players are not allowed to run. The aim of the game is to score more goals than the opposition by passing the ball and dribbling it into the goal.

The EWFL organizes a regular season of matches, as well as cup competitions and tournaments. The league also offers coaching and refereeing courses.
