The East Midlands Public Authorities League (EMPAL) is an amateur football league for teams representing public authorities in the East Midlands region of England. It was founded in 1974 and currently has over 100 teams competing in four divisions.
The EMPAL was founded in 1974 by a group of public authority employees who wanted to provide a competitive football league for their teams. The league initially had just two divisions, but it has since expanded to four divisions.
The EMPAL has been won by a variety of teams over the years, including Nottinghamshire County Council, Derbyshire County Council, and Leicestershire County Council. The current champions are Arnold Athletic F.C.
