The Eadsafa Amateur Football League was founded in 1972 by a group of local football enthusiasts. The league started with just a few teams, but it has grown steadily over the years. Today, the Eadsafa Amateur Football League has over 100 teams competing in a variety of divisions.

The league is named after the East Didsbury and South Manchester Association Football Alliance, which was the original governing body of the league. The Eadsafa Amateur Football League is now an independent organization, but it still retains the "Eadsafa" name as a tribute to its roots.
